Cass House Cayucos Wedding

Charming Cass House Cayucos Wedding garden ceremony gazebo

This beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony of Lyndsey and Bruce at the charming Cass House in Cayucos felt like a coastal fairytale unfolding before our eyes. The historic estate created a romantic narrative that felt like a chapter out of a novel. It was truly their very own… “Happily ever after.”

From our initial conversation, it was evident Lyndsey and Bruce hold a remarkable certainty in their decisions. They’re the type that know what is right and best for them. A reflection of Lyndsey and Bruce’s unwavering confidence, they locked eyes at a swimming event back in the summer of 2017 and have been inseparable ever since. To seal the deal, their closest friends and family gathered for their beach front wedding in Cayucos.

What Love Takes

But those love at first sight moments don’t come without groundwork. It takes a lot of inner reflection both within ourselves and in each other to understand one another. This applies to all relationships – friends, family, and partners alike. Each person brings a unique perspective shaped by their life experiences. And it’s through careful nurturing and understanding that bonds are formed. That’s what makes life so precious! Lyndsey and Bruce have explored the Hawaiian islands, dozens of national and state parks, countless beaches to swim, surf, kayak, and snorkel – all while learning what lights each other up along the way.

With Lyndsey and Bruce’s shared love of the outdoors and taking the plunge into home ownership together, they’ve remained steadfast in their love and commitment to each other. Since then, the two have added five chickens, many fruit trees and raised-bed veggie gardens, and a rescue puppy, Mojave, to the family farm in Los Osos, California.

The Proposal

On March 3rd, 2023, after almost six years together, Bruce proposed to Lyndsey in the snow on Maunakea. This active volcano is the tallest mountain in the world from the sea floor, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Lyndsey said yes, after initially saying, “oh, no!” in surprise of the moment finally happening. Relieved at Lyndsey’s recovery, they celebrated by snorkeling at Captain Cook Monument later that afternoon, combining their love of the ocean and mountains into a single awesome day.

Lyndsey and Bruce clearly love living in and exploring wild, coastal areas. With that in mind, and with the guidance of Megan Rose Events, they implemented these elements into their wedding day allowing their friends and family to join in on their adventure!

Bring Their Love for the Outdoors to the Charming Cass House Cayucos Wedding

Nestled in the heart of the Central Coast, the Cass House Cayucos was carefully restored in 2008 to celebrate its rich history. This charming property is the embodiment of English-style boasting glorious views of the ocean and mountains. Ceremonies take place on the emerald green lawn, which feature a romantic gazebo to be decorated with lush greenery. High palm trees stand in the background to give your guests a taste of the west coast charm and elegant chandeliers hang from the ceiling with a warm, welcoming light. After falling in love, Lyndsey and Bruce decided to move forward with planning their wedding at a venue in a location they call home.

I’m overjoyed for Lyndsey and Bruce and their commitment to each other. Their eagerness to be together is clear—they simply want to enjoy every moment side by side. With their shared love for the outdoors, I have no doubt they’ll embark on countless incredible adventures together.
